Question by t_o_w_e_r_i_n_g: Why does the concept of “fashion” exist? Isn’t it a sign of conformity?
Many people deny that it’s pure conformity, and respond with, “It’s how I express myself.” However, if it’s “how you express yourself” then everyone would be doing it differently and uniquely.
The concept of “fashion” is a bunch of people following a trend in to feel accepted by a group. It is fleeting, useless, and only a way for the few to make money off the mindless hordes.
Stop spending 0 on a stupid shirt or purse just because of its label, and instead donate the money to charity.
If all the “do-good” liberals & Hollywood elite stopped wasting so much money on “fashionable” items, the concept of poverty could be eliminated. INstead, the liberals only want someone ELSE to handle the problems while they lie back in their designer clothes inside their “trendy” and expensive apartments.
No, but buying & wearing it just because someone else likes it certainly is.
