Leggings , Blouse, and Mascarra
Leggings have been a great staple in wardrobes for the past year. They can be great when you find that cuter than cute dress that is just too short for comfort. But something that has hit the runways this season that is sooo cute are tight stretch denim or twill that hug the legs like leggings, but have a thicker fabric and presence.
They are better for the colder weather, and they are a bit more forgiving… They are still cute with the same type of tops you would wear with leggings–big sweaters, long shirts, or short dresses are perfect. And they come in cute patterns like red and black mini lumber jack checks. Wear them with spikey heels or ballet flats. They are flattering and warm! What could be better for winter?
There have been a lot of white blouses shown out there lately. Some are cotton tuxedo style, some are button-down collared shirt waists, while others are modified t-shirts. I like them all. I love a white top period, so all of these looks are fun in my book.
But my favorite white blouse is the silk chiffon look with lots of ruffles down the front and around the collar. Sometimes the sleeves are full and elbow length, while at other times the sleeves end at the wrist. The look is very romantic and looks good with a dressy pencil skirt or with jeans. This look reminds me of Juliet– it just a soft touch that is fun to wear this holiday season.
So don’t go crazy. Just buy one floaty blouse and wear it again and again to all your festive events!
My favorite mascara is Rimmel 101 Black Black. It is inexpensive, and works better than other mascaras I have tried that cost twice or three times as much.
You should know that there are some tricks to putting on mascara. And this mascara is not for the faint of heart. It is bold and you should layer it. It will make your lashes black and thick. You can put as many layers on as you like. I always put it on the top and bottom of my lashes. And for the edges of my eyes I turn the brush so that the tip applies the mascara to the lashes on the inside and the outside of the eye. It is that trick that catches all of those small lashes at the edges. When you put mascara on the bottom lashes, be prepared to get some on your check below your eye. That’s OK. Just keep a Q-tip on hand and get it off before it dries.
Your eyes will pop! Fluttering your lashes will be a lot more fun!!!
