Tacori Wedding Bands For Him

Gone are the days of a man’s wedding band being a simple circle of gold or platinum. Of course, these traditional options are still available and many men will prefer the simpler statement. However, for those men looking for a little something extra, there is a huge variety of wedding rings to select from.

The Tacori collection has a wide range of wedding bands for the male. From the simple and elegant platinum band, to bands set with diamonds, and the famous engraved Tacori rings.

Hand worked. Tacori wedding bands are well known for being hand made and of a superior quality that will last a lifetime. Many couples love the idea of their wedding rings being made by the one renowned jeweler. This can be a great way to have either matching wedding bands, or wedding bands designed to compliment the other. For example, the bride may have chosen an intricate Tacori engagement ring with engraving and filigree work. While the husband may not be wanting something quite so feminine or intricate, he may like to have a portion of the patterning or carving worked in a more simplistic or masculine manner on his wedding band.

There are also male wedding rings carved or engraved with the eye catching and unique Tacori designs. Scrolls and leaves are two of the more well recognized Tacori signatures for men.

Diamonds. More and more men are opting to have their wedding band set with diamonds. While this trend was initially started by the rich and famous, it has become much more mainstream. Diamonds in a Tacori band can be as subtle or stated as you require. Some men opt to have the same size or number of diamonds in their wedding band as their wife is having in hers. This can be a nice alternative to the totally matching his and hers wedding bands.

Matching his and hers. Many couple decide to have matching his and hers wedding bands. This is a great way of showing a united front to the rest of the world. Matching his and hers wedding bands can be very eye catching and are statements in themselves. There are many Tacori wedding bands that are suitable for both men and women.

Platinum, gold, or two tone. One of the biggest questions facing a male is the type of metal he wants his wedding ring to be made from. Platinum is becoming increasingly popular due to its high shine, luxurious look, and the fact that it will never wear or tarnish. These can be fairly major considerations for any male who may not be quite so diligent in caring for a piece of jewelry as his wife.

Rhodium plated white gold can be a more cost effective option in the short term. However, the rhodium plating needs to be touched up periodically to maintain the high shine, and to prevent the grayer color of the white gold showing through. Platinum or white gold wedding bands are also going to always look fantastic with a stainless steel watch.

Tacori wedding bands are available for men in platinum, white gold, yellow gold or two tone. Two tone wedding rings can be a great way of obtaining visual interest in a wedding band while still maintaining a very masculine look. Two tone can also be an excellent way to perhaps tie in the male’s stainless steel watch and the wife’s gold jewelry, for those couples who want everything to match.

Custom made Tacori wedding rings for men will not only last a lifetime, but are available in a wide range from simple traditional bands to unique and decorated wedding rings in the designs that Tacori has become famous for.

Reshape With Resistance Bands: Triceps Extensions

There are many benefits to using resistance bands including the fact that they are flexible, inexpensive and simple to use, and can give you the same results you would get if you worked out in a gym or health club. There are many body parts that resistance bands are particularly effective on and one of the most difficult areas to target are the triceps. With resistance bands, you can tone and shape your triceps without needing to use any complicated machines or exercise equipment.

When using resistance bands always make sure to check the bands for any tears or rips. The band should be in good condition. Remember to breathe when exercising and let your movements flow in a smooth, graceful manner. Some people hold their breath and make the mistake of letting the resistance band snap back after each movement. This can cause unnecessary strain on the muscles as well as the band. Control the band with each movement to ensure the longevity of the resistance band and to get the best results from each exercise. If you find it hard to control the resistance band then you might need to drop to a lower level of resistance. It is very important that you are able to control the band, because without control you can harm your body, strain muscles or actually injure your arm or whatever part of the body you are using the band on.

Selecting resistance bands might seem confusing, but it shouldn’t be. The bands are color coordinated with each color signifying a different weight of resistance. Check with the manufacturer’s recommendations for identification of each band and its resistance level. Start off with a lower resistance level and work your way to more resistance.

The overhead triceps extension is a very effective exercise that helps eliminate the area underneath the arm. For older women, the triceps is often difficult to tone and is visibly seen as a flap that moves when a woman waves her arms or hands. The triceps extension will help firm and define that area without the need for heavy or expensive exercise equipment.

Begin the triceps overhead extension by keeping your left arm alongside your body, with the hand comfortably by your hip. Grip one of the ends of the resistance band in your left hand. If you feel that the band is too long, shorten the length by wrapping it around a bit and then gripping the excess length with your left hand. With the right hand, grip the other end of the resistance band and extend the right arm directly over your head. Keep the elbow of the extended arm close to the side of your head while you control the movement. You should not feel as if the band is going to snap out of your hand, but rather feel as if every movement is completely controlled. When your right hand is completely extended, return to the starting position and repeat the movement for 3 sets of 15 repetitions. When finished, alternate arms and repeat the exercise with the left hand reaching overhead, holding the band alongside the body with the right hand.

Resistance bands are a popular choice of exercise equipment to use because they are light and easy to use. Many workout programs such as the 10 minute trainer fitness program use bands instead of dumbbells. The p90x fitness routine also highly recommends resistance bands over dumbbells.

Men’s Wedding Bands: the Titanium Age

It is fairly common for men to play a secondary role when planning for their wedding. Itâ??s even more commonplace to see these same men in an unexcited state when it comes to wearing a wedding band. Being a married man I can attest to this because at that time and prior to my engagement I loathed wearing any type of jewelry. Mind you most men have no problem letting others know theyâ??re off the market, however the choices for Mens Wedding Bands has traditionally been very limited and somewhat unappealing which has caused a majority of men to cringe at these choices.

As the pendulum swings both ways, and as doors open and close, opinions have changed dramatically in the past few years regarding menâ??s wedding bands. I believe this change can be attributed mainly to the new, classier selection of wedding bands available and even to the more affordable choices being offered.

Leading the charge in this change of opinions are Titanium wedding rings. Though they are available for both brides and grooms Titanium rings are immensely popular with men for two big reasons, price and stylish presentation. Titanium wedding bands boast a unique look that men wont find in the more traditional gold, silver, and even diamond rings. In addition to that the cost of these types of rings allows those who are budget conscience to dedicate a little extra to the wedding as prices are generally much more affordable when compared to more traditional rings.

Another popular choice for alternative menâ??s wedding bands is Tungsten. Tungsten offers up many of the same things Titanium does in terms of affordability, attractiveness and boast many different designs that arenâ??t found in traditional rings. These newer metals have allowed many men who would have never considered wearing a wedding band to be comfortable with a stylish ring. Other men who may have just not cared much for sliver, gold, and diamond now have several alternatives that come not just in different colors but styles that can be considered more â??manlyâ?.

So which ring did I settle on? Well initially I was unimpressed with all of the rings my then fiancée and I viewed and as I was not the type of male to wear any type of jewelry I tried to convince her to allow me to remain ring free. She is a more traditional type of person than I, and I was talked into taking a look at some alternative choices for my mens wedding bands. I saw Tungsten and Titanium and ended up going with the latter as I found a solid black Titanium ring that fit both my personal style of dress and sense of humor perfectly.

A married man of three years, Scott now finds mens wedding bands acceptable.

How Independent Bands Can Start Booking Shows

An independent band is ready to market themselves by touring after: putting a core band together, rehearsing new music, and recording music for a CD, or an EP. Selling products during a tour such as t-shirts, CD’s, stickers and other marketable products are essential for a band to do to fund the project.

Booking shows can be an impossible thing for an indie band to do if the band do not know the best way to grab a club promoter’s attention. Promoters and club owners generally book in advance, so it is imperative that a band contacts them months, maybe a year before touring.

Bands need to create flyers/postcards, and send them out constantly. Not just to different promoters, but repeatedly to the same promoters. Sending a flyer to the same promoter should be done every month or so to let them know you are serious about the opportunity, and to get them to remember your band.

A high quality color flyer does make a difference when promoting your band. Obviously, it receives more interest with solid content listed on the flyer.

1. Performance based photo

2. The genre of music your band plays

3. Contact information in bold

4. The band’s price range to do a show

5. A couple lines of reviews from media outlets who covered past shows

Besides clubs, colleges are another alternative venue for bands to play their music live.

The popular way to grab a college representative’s attention is by sending your flyer/postcard with a CD, and placing phones calls to the student activity director who handles live entertainment.

Sending your CD and press release to college radio stations and newspapers is also a good way to make your name known on various campuses. Getting early recognition could help your chances of the student activity director hearing about your band before you inquire about doing shows.

An alternative way to book shows at colleges is by performing at the National Association for Campus Activities Showcase.

Each February NACA hosts the National Convention which brings together artists, music agencies and university entertainment buyers. The National Convention allows college representatives to see live showcases and organize co-op buying with neighboring universities.

Bands such as Dave Matthews Band and O.A.R. have been success stories through the association.

Performing at the convention may be costly, but can be worth it in the long run for the band. In order to be on the showcase, a band must first become a member of the association. Several other costs come into play in order to buy a booth, register and then submit the band. An acceptance fee is also charged if your band is chosen to play.

Networking is key for indie bands even if they do not get chosen to play college shows at the conference. There are other businesses such as bar owners, entertainment venue promoters and organizations in attendance at the showcase.

Social networks can also be key to landing gigs for a band. My suggestion is to check out what venues are popular within the indie band world. Check other indie bands’ pages and see what venues they are playing at in certain cities.

Send them a message and ask about the promoter of a certain venue, or just utilize the print marketing that was previously mentioned.

Visit http://www.naca.org to view more information about the association and their fees.
